Health Guarantee

Our 2-year genetic health guarantee

It is agreed by both parties that the following conditions will be met and that no other warranties or conditions are expressed or implied.

This agreement is for the benefit of both buyer and seller. It is the breeder’s intention to ensure that each puppy is healthy at the time of adoption or delivery. Therefore, we ask that the buyer make every reasonable effort to have the puppy examined by a veterinarian within 3 days of ownership. Since we cannot control the puppy’s environment after it leaves the breeder, this agreement is null and void if the buyer fails to obtain a timely veterinarian visit after bringing the puppy home. puppy at home.

General agreements:

  1. Any refund should never exceed the original purchase price of the puppy.
  2. The buyer is welcome to pick up their puppy from the breeder and is responsible for all shipping costs for the original puppy and any replacement puppies.
  3. Buyer must return AKC and veterinary/vaccination documents with any puppy or dog that is being returned for a replacement puppy.
  4. The breeder cannot guarantee the size, color or temperament of the puppy after the puppy leaves the breeder.
  5. The buyer releases Breeder and Kauffman Companions, LLC from any liability and/or damages caused by the fault of this dog after the time of sale. Such damages include, but are not limited to, destruction of property and/or physical harm to any person or group of persons.
  6. The buyer assumes sole responsibility for all veterinary care and its associated costs.
  7. The buyer agrees that if for any reason during the life of the puppy/dog they are unable to keep or provide for their puppy/dog they will contact the breeder to take back the puppy/dog or request our help to help him find the puppy /dog. dog.
  8. Buyer regret, change of employment status, allergic reactions, etc. do not constitute grounds for return/refund. We will always take the puppy/dog back, but any possible refund is at the sole discretion of the Breeder.

Guarantee against communicable diseases:

If the puppy dies from a communicable disease (this does not include parasites or hypoglycemia) within 14 days of purchase and the buyer promptly seeks treatment by a certified veterinarian, and if said veterinarian certifies by written that the puppy was exposed to the disease before leaving the breeder, the buyer will obtain a full refund of the purchase price of the puppy within 45 days of the death certificate or necropsy report.

A note on parasites: Puppies’ immune systems are still developing, making them vulnerable to internal parasites, especially under stress. Moving to a new home, changing diet and excessive handling are all stressors that can compromise a puppy’s immune system response to worms, Giardia or coccidiosis. All preventative efforts have been made by the breeder to mitigate these vulnerabilities. However, you should be aware that they can occur. These conditions are all treatable and are not reasons to warrant a return or exchange.

Genetic Health Guarantee: A guarantee against all serious congenital diseases or life-changing genetic abnormalities is offered for up to 24 months (2 years) from the puppy’s date of birth.
